INDIANAPOLIS (May 28, 2025) – Thompson Thrift, a full-service real estate company engaged in multifamily, mixed-use, industrial and commercial developments across the country, announced today that it has been recognized as Developer of the Year by REjournals at the 2025 Indiana Commercial Real Estate Awards.

The recognition reflects Thompson Thrift’s steady growth and purpose-driven approach during a period of meaningful expansion, where the company continued to pursue opportunities that align with its mission to positively impact its team members and the communities it serves.

"Being named Developer of the Year is a testament to the hard work of every team member who continues to drive our mission forward and create lasting impact in the regions we serve," said Dan Sink, President and Chief Financial Officer of Thompson Thrift Development. "This recognition reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation and community-focused development across all business units."

REjournals’ Commercial Real Estate Awards celebrate the achievements, successes and highlights from all sectors of the commercial real estate industry. For Thompson Thrift, these achievements have taken many forms over the past year: developing vibrant residential communities in emerging markets like Georgia and Idaho, welcoming new partners to its multifamily investment platform, and growing its construction capabilities to support a robust pipeline. Throughout, the company has remained focused on delivering quality and value for team members, residents, investment partners and stakeholders alike.

Sink stated, “More than any single milestone, we’re proud of the consistency and care our team brings to their work. That’s what continues to drive our success and inspire confidence from the people we serve.”

Earlier this year, Thompson Thrift announced the closing of the Thompson Thrift 2025 Multifamily Development, LP, the company’s seventh multi-project development fund. The limited partnership offering raised more than $255 million in total capital commitments, which will allow Thompson Thrift to strategically launch seven new, upscale multifamily developments in suburban growth markets nationwide with optimal timing and precision.

Thompson Thrift was recently recognized both locally and nationally with 2025 Top Workplaces honors from USA Today, the Indianapolis Star and the Denver Post. The company was also a winner of four 2025 Top Workplaces Culture Excellence awards for Work-Life Flexibility, Compensation & Benefits, Leadership, and Purpose & Values.

Since its founding nearly 40 years ago, Thompson Thrift has invested over $6 billion in local communities across the Midwest, Southeast and Southwest and has established itself as a trusted partner committed to developing high-quality, attractive multifamily communities and commercial projects.
