Thompson Thrift Celebrates Ribbon Cutting for The Landing at Lemay in Fort Collins, Colorado
August 12, 2026

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (Aug. 12, 2026) – Thompson Thrift recently hosted a ribbon cutting celebration for The Landing at Lemay, a 344-unit luxury multifamily community in Fort Collins.
Fort Collins continues to experience strong demand for high-quality rental housing, fueled by a diverse employment base, steady population growth and an active lifestyle that consistently attracts new residents to Northern Colorado. Since welcoming the first residents into the community this past December, The Landing at Lemay has exceeded leasing expectations and is now nearly 60% occupied, outperforming its budgeted occupancy target.
“The Landing at Lemay brings together the features today's residents value most," said Angie Atkins, SVP, Community Management for Thompson Thrift. “From thoughtfully designed apartment homes and resort-style amenities to an exceptional location just minutes from downtown Fort Collins, the community offers residents a place that feels connected, comfortable and easy to call home."
Located on 17 acres at the southeast corner of E. Vine Drive and N. Lemay Avenue, The Landing at Lemay features one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes offering the latest modern amenities including stainless-steel appliances, a glass-top range, hardwood-style flooring, multiple smart home capabilities and full-sized washers and dryers. Select homes have also been enhanced with a deluxe closet system with shelving, premium lighting and garage options.
An extensive collection of resort-style amenities are available for residents, including community-wide Wi-Fi, a fully equipped 24-hour fitness center, heated swimming pool, firepits, a billiards and shuffleboard area, and a dog park and pet spa. In addition, residents have access to large-scale EV charging infrastructure to support current and future electric vehicle owners.
During the ribbon-cutting celebration, guests toured the clubhouse, model home and community amenities. As part of Thompson Thrift's ongoing commitment to supporting the communities where it develops, the company also presented a charitable donation to Animal Friends Alliance, a Northern Colorado nonprofit that provides animal sheltering, adoption services, affordable veterinary care and community pet resources to help keep companion animals in loving homes.
"Creating a great place to live extends beyond the community itself,” said Tamera Greene, VP, Community Management for Thompson Thrift. “Supporting organizations like Animal Friends Alliance helps strengthen the neighborhoods our residents call home, and we're excited to be part of that effort in Fort Collins."
The Landing at Lemay is strategically located just one mile from Old Town Fort Collins, with convenient access to downtown employers, Colorado State University, regional trail systems, and some of Northern Colorado's most recognized breweries.
Over the past 40 years, Thompson Thrift has invested more than $7.3 billion into local communities and has become known as a trusted partner engaged in all aspects of development, construction, leasing, and management of high-quality real estate projects across the country.
Thompson Thrift has developed 22 multifamily communities throughout Colorado. Equity for the development was provided by Thompson Thrift 2024 Multifamily Development, LP.
