Meet our 2026 Summer Interns! 🎉 We are excited to highlight our amazing interns throughout the next couple of months in our Stadlership Spotlight.

Meet Ben! Ben is a Development Intern based in our Denver office in Greenwood Village, Colorado. He is currently pursuing his One-Year MBA at the University of Colorado Denver. This summer, Ben is looking forward to developing real world knowledge of the real estate development process by participating in project planning, zoning & entitlements, and site development activities to help grow both professionally and contribute to the community. While he is still learning what projects he’ll be supporting, he is excited by the opportunity to follow a development project through its entire lifecycle. Ben shared that what excites him most about Thompson Thrift is being part of a larger vision and helping transform a piece of land into a community where people want to live. During his time at CU Denver, Ben competed in the Mile High Sustainability Impact Challenge, where he and his partner earned 3rd place. Outside of work, Ben enjoys skiing, traveling, running, and boating. One fun fact about Ben is that he has crossed the Atlantic Ocean by boat three times.
Meet Caroline! Caroline is a Preconstruction and Design Intern in our Indianapolis office. She is currently studying Design and Construction Integration at Purdue University and plans to graduate in Spring 2027. This summer, Caroline will be reviewing plans, creating RFPs, assisting in meetings, and supporting designs from conceptual plans through preconstruction. She is looking forward to learning about a different side of the company and building new relationships throughout the design team. Caroline chose Thompson Thrift because of the company’s strong culture and commitment to both its team members and the communities it serves. She shared that she admires the passion and drive for excellence demonstrated across the organization and strives to embody those same values. At Purdue, Caroline is involved in Pi Beta Phi, Purdue Women in Construction, and Sigma Lambda Chi. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, going to concerts, and spending time with family and friends.
Meet Sam! Sam is an East Land Acquisitions Intern based in our Indianapolis office. He is currently studying Finance and Real Estate at Indiana University and plans to graduate in May 2028. This summer, Sam is looking forward to learning more about careers in real estate and building relationships with the people at Thompson Thrift. Sam chose Thompson Thrift because of the strong reputation he heard about the company, along with the high character standards and positive culture shared by team members across the organization. At Indiana University, Sam is involved in the Real Estate Club and Greek Faith Life. Outside of work, he enjoys playing tennis, fishing, and golfing. One fun fact about Sam is that he has a twin brother.
Meet Mitchell! Mitchell is a Southeast Residential Development Intern working in the Indianapolis Office this summer. He is currently studying Finance and Real Estate at Indiana University and plans to graduate in 2028. This summer, Mitchell is looking forward to learning a new area of real estate and surrounding himself with people he can learn from throughout the internship experience. Mitchell chose Thompson Thrift because of the company’s welcoming and supportive culture, along with the strong focus on teaching and developing interns through The Stadlership internship program. At Indiana University, Mitchell is involved in the IU Real Estate Club and the Real Estate Workshop. Outside of work, he enjoys snowboarding, golfing, and playing basketball. One fun fact about Mitchell is that he has a passion for landscaping and lawn care.
Meet Luke! Luke is a Project Engineer Intern working with Thompson Thrift Construction in our Terre Haute office. He is currently studying Construction Management at Indiana State University and plans to graduate in May 2027. This summer, Luke is working on a project in Powder Springs, GA, where he will be assisting with RFIs, submittals, change orders, take-offs, and supporting the team wherever needed. He is looking forward to gaining hands-on experience and strengthening his understanding of blueprint reading. Luke chose Thompson Thrift because of the company’s strong culture and commitment to living out its mission statement. At Indiana State, Luke is involved in Sigma Lambda Chi. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting and spending time outdoors. One fun fact about Luke is that he has a twin brother, but they look nothing alike.
Meet Lucee! Lucee is a Legal Intern based in our Terre Haute office. She is currently studying Human Resource Management with a minor in Business at Indiana University and plans to graduate in May 2029. This summer, Lucee will be assisting with Consulting Services Agreements, Notices of Liens, and project schedules while gaining a deeper understanding of how the legal team supports Thompson Thrift. She is looking forward to building connections across the company and learning more about the organization. Lucee chose Thompson Thrift because of the company’s strong reputation and commitment to serving the community through initiatives like TT Serve Days. At Indiana University, Lucee is a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. Outside of work, she enjoys going on walks, boating, and playing with her dogs. One fun fact about Lucee is that she has one older brother and one younger brother.

Meet Ty! Ty is an Investment Strategy Intern based in our Indianapolis office. He is currently studying Public Financial Management with a minor in Business at Indiana University and plans to graduate in May 2028. This summer, Ty is looking forward to gaining hands-on experience and learning from the knowledgeable team around him. Ty chose Thompson Thrift because of the company’s strong reputation across the industry, along with the culture and kindness he immediately recognized throughout the organization. At Indiana University, Ty is a member of the Real Estate Club. Outside of work, he enjoys fitness, fishing, and following Indiana sports. One fun fact about Ty is that he has never had a Pop-Tart.
Meet Noah! Noah is a Safety Intern working with the TTC Safety team this summer. He is currently studying Management with a minor in Safety at Indiana University and plans to graduate in December 2026. This summer, Noah will be assisting with safety inspections, audits, documentation, and safety prequalification processes while gaining experience across a variety of job sites. He is looking forward to traveling and seeing different communities and projects throughout the summer. Noah chose Thompson Thrift because of the positive experience he had during his first internship with the company and the opportunity to continue learning with the team for a second summer. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.
Meet Shannon! Shannon is a Residential Southeast Development Intern based in our Indianapolis office. She is currently studying Construction Management with a minor in Business Administration at Ball State University and plans to graduate in May 2027. This summer, Shannon will be supporting the team through tap and impact fee analysis, check requests, entitlement timeline compilation, parking studies, IC package preparation, and term sheet data input. She is looking forward to growing her technical knowledge and gaining a deeper understanding of the strategic conditions that help development projects succeed throughout their lifecycle. Shannon chose to return to Thompson Thrift for a second internship because of the strong mentorship, collaborative culture, and meaningful exposure to multiple areas of the business. She shared that she especially enjoys the interdisciplinary nature of the Development team and the opportunity to work alongside professionals across design, engineering, legal, acquisitions, and property management. Shannon is also involved in Indy CREW, NAIOP, and Indy Real. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new restaurants and food scenes both locally and while traveling. One fun fact about Shannon is that she has visited Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
Meet Will! Will is a Construction Intern working with the Construction team in our Indianapolis office and onsite at Revere in Westfield, IN. He is currently studying Construction Management Technology with a Certificate in Entrepreneurship at Purdue University and plans to graduate in December 2026. This summer, Will is assisting with RFIs, submittals, documentation, and supporting the superintendent onsite while gaining hands-on experience in the construction industry. He is looking forward to making connections and continuing to learn more about the field. Will chose Thompson Thrift because of the strong culture and values he recognized from his very first interaction with the recruiting team. He shared that one of his favorite parts of the role is being actively involved with the team and contributing to day-to-day operations. Outside of work, Will enjoys running, lifting, golfing, and watching sports. One fun fact about Will is that he has hit a hole in one.
Meet Kyden! Kyden is a Warranty Intern based in our Terre Haute office. He is currently studying Construction Management at Indiana State University. This summer, Kyden will be working on projects that are completed and under warranty while gaining hands-on experience through his first internship. He is looking forward to learning more about the industry and building experience throughout the summer. Kyden was drawn to Thompson Thrift because of his connection to the company through his grandfather, and shared that he has known about Thompson Thrift for as long as he can remember. At Indiana State, Kyden is a member of the Track and Field team. Outside of work, he enjoys playing guitar and building LEGO sets. One fun fact about Kyden is that he has a road named after him in his hometown of Marshall, IL.
Meet Joshua! Joshua is a Construction Intern working with the TTC team on Canopy Flats in Overland Park, KS, based in our Terre Haute office. He is currently pursuing a double major in Construction Management and Architectural Engineering Technology with a minor in Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) at Indiana State University and plans to graduate in Spring 2027. This summer, Joshua will be supporting the Canopy Flats project in Overland Park, KS, while learning more about the project management processes behind vertical construction. He is looking forward to gaining a better understanding of what day-to-day life in the industry looks like after graduation. Joshua chose Thompson Thrift because of the company’s strong reputation and commitment to excellence, and he saw the internship as a great opportunity to grow within the vertical construction industry. At Indiana State, Joshua serves as President of the ISU Construction Club, Treasurer of Sigma Lambda Chi, and Social Media Chair for the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA). Outside of work, he enjoys painting, fishing, and exploring new cities. One fun fact about Joshua is that he caught a 106-inch, 220-pound Blue Marlin in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico right before starting his internship this summer.

Meet Evan! Evan is a Field Engineer Intern working on The Residences at The Gilmore in Gilbert, AZ. He is currently studying Construction Management at Purdue University and plans to graduate in May 2028. This summer, Evan is assisting with daily reports, inspections, manpower reports, and other tasks around the jobsite while gaining hands-on field experience. He is looking forward to continuing to learn more about the construction industry and the way Thompson Thrift operates as a company. At Purdue, Evan serves as a treasurer and secretary in student council, works as a teaching assistant for a lab class, and participates in several intramural sports. Outside of work, he enjoys restoring old cars, hunting, fishing, and hiking. Evan shared that he appreciates Thompson Thrift’s strong values and the way the team balances efficiency with caring for subcontractors and laborers onsite.
Meet Maddox! Maddox is a Preconstruction Intern based in our Terre Haute office. He is currently studying Construction Management at Indiana State University and plans to graduate in May 2027. This summer, Maddox will be supporting projects in Fishers, IN, and Powder Springs, GA. He is looking forward to getting to know his team, learning as much as he can, and gaining experience with the software Thompson Thrift uses. Maddox chose Thompson Thrift because of the company’s strong preconstruction team and the opportunity to learn the right approaches to the industry. At Indiana State, he serves as President of Sigma Lambda Chi. Outside of work, he enjoys weightlifting. One fun fact about Maddox is that his high school mascot was a jeep.
Meet John! John is an Information Technology Intern working with the IT team in our Terre Haute office. He is currently pursuing an Associate of Science in Information Technology at Southern New Hampshire University and plans to graduate in December 2026. This summer, John will be supporting submitted FreshService tickets, preparing laptops for future team members, and using PowerBI to help update and create accurate data. He is looking forward to participating in TT Serve Day, attending the IT department summer event, and continuing to sharpen his technical skills throughout the internship. John chose Thompson Thrift because of the company’s commitment to serving the communities around them and the way the organization values and supports team members both inside and outside of work. Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf and cooking. One fun fact about John is that he recently started learning how to play guitar.
Meet Zane! Zane is a Preconstruction Intern working with the TTC team in our Terre Haute office. He is currently studying Construction Management with a minor in Business Administration at Indiana State University and plans to graduate in May 2028. This summer, Zane will be assisting with takeoffs and subcontractor bid calls while gaining hands-on experience in preconstruction. He is looking forward to working closely with his team and learning as much as possible throughout the internship experience. Zane chose Thompson Thrift because of the company’s involvement in his community and school, along with the impact the organization creates. At Indiana State, he is involved in Pi Kappa Alpha, the ISU Construction Club, Sigma Lambda Chi, Order of Omega, and intramural sports. Outside of work, he enjoys soccer, weightlifting, and video games. One fun fact about Zane is that he has been in a coal mine underneath the Wabash River.
Meet Brennan! Brennan is a Construction Intern working on Venture on Venetucci in Colorado Springs, CO. He is currently studying Construction Management with a minor in Building Information Modeling (BIM) at Purdue University and plans to graduate in 2028. This summer, Brennan is looking forward to gaining experience within a large company and learning more about the relationship between field operations and the office side of the business. Brennan chose Thompson Thrift because of the company’s culture, values, and the strong relationships built among team members and fellow interns. At Purdue, he is involved in Beta Upsilon Chi. Outside of work, Brennan enjoys snowboarding, hiking, camping, shooting, and reading. One fun fact about Brennan is that he has been bitten by a bear.
Meet Brady! Brady is a returning Construction Intern working in the field on Revere in Westfield, IN. He is currently studying Construction Management at Purdue University and plans to graduate in Spring 2028. This summer, Brady will be completing daily manpower reports, tracking lumber inventory, assisting with weekly inspections, and supporting the team with day-to-day project tasks. He is looking forward to seeing the construction process firsthand and watching the project's progress throughout the summer. Brady chose to return to Thompson Thrift after enjoying his experience in the office last summer and wanted the opportunity to gain a different perspective by working in the field. At Purdue, he is a member of FarmHouse Fraternity, where he serves as Director of Scholarship. Outside of work, he enjoys playing and watching basketball and football.

Meet Ashanty! Ashanty is a returning Construction Intern working in the field at Stack at Wheat Ridge in Wheat Ridge, CO. She is currently studying Construction Management Technology at Purdue University and plans to graduate in December 2026. This summer, she will be assisting with manpower counts, daily reports, safety monitoring, project documentation, and construction progress photos while gaining additional field experience. Ashanty is looking forward to learning more about the construction process, observing day-to-day field operations, and seeing how different trades and teams work together to deliver a successful project. She chose to return to Thompson Thrift because of the company’s culture and the way team members continuously support and encourage one another. At Purdue, she is involved in Women in Construction Management and Alpha Omicron Pi. Outside of work, she enjoys playing tennis, walking her dogs, and traveling. One fun fact about Ashanty is that she hiked an active volcano in El Salvador!
Meet Luke! Luke is a Preconstruction Intern for TTC in our Indianapolis office. He is currently studying Construction Management at Ball State University and plans to graduate in May 2027. This summer, Luke will be assisting with takeoffs, leveling bids, negotiating prices, and reviewing drawings and specifications while gaining hands-on experience in preconstruction. He is looking forward to learning more about the preconstruction process and working alongside his team. Luke chose Thompson Thrift because he felt it was the best place to grow professionally and learn from experienced team members. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, playing basketball, and golfing. He shared that one of his favorite parts of the internship is having a team he can always turn to for guidance and support.
Meet Harrison! Harrison is an East Acquisitions Intern working in our Indianapolis office. He is currently studying Finance with a minor in Bible, Missions, and Ministry at Abilene Christian University and plans to graduate in 2029. This summer, Harrison will help identify and underwrite potential development sites in Kentucky markets and hopes to have the opportunity to present at an Investment Committee meeting. He is looking forward to learning more about the acquisitions process and growing professionally throughout the internship. Harrison chose Thompson Thrift because of the people and the company’s strong values. Outside of work and school, he is involved in his church and a homeless service organization. He also enjoys playing guitar, writing songs, singing, skiing, spikeball, board games, card games, reading, and memorizing Scripture. One fun fact about Harrison is that he has played guitar on a plane, a train, in cars, and on top of many mountains.
Meet Drew! Drew is a returning Field Engineer Intern working with TTC at Heritage on Hover in Longmont, CO. He is currently studying Construction Management at Purdue University and plans to graduate in 2028. This summer, Drew will be assisting with daily manpower reports, punch list items, weekly site photos, inventory tracking, and daily logs while continuing to build his field experience. He is looking forward to strengthening relationships with his team and learning as much as possible throughout the internship. Drew chose Thompson Thrift because of the company’s culture and commitment to community involvement, and he enjoys the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field. At Purdue, he is involved in AGC and the Purdue Paint Crew. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, playing basketball, fishing, and video games. One fun fact about Drew is that Diet Coke is his favorite drink.
Meet Owen! Owen is a Community Management Intern working at The Landing at Lemay and The Quarry in Fort Collins, CO. He is currently studying Property Management at Ball State University and plans to graduate in May 2028. This summer, Owen is gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of community management, including leasing, maintenance, and daily property operations. He is looking forward to expanding his knowledge of the industry and learning what it takes to successfully manage a community. Owen chose Thompson Thrift because of the people he met throughout the interview process and the opportunity to work at a community he admired while experiencing life in a new state. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing and playing video games. He shared that one of his favorite parts of the internship is the opportunity to learn from team members across different roles and gain exposure to many areas of the business.
Meet Jackson! Jackson is a Construction Project Management Intern based in our Terre Haute office. He is currently studying Construction Management at Indiana State University and plans to graduate in Spring 2028. This summer, Jackson is supporting the Lineage project in Dacula, GA, where he is assisting with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and helping solve project challenges throughout the construction process. He is looking forward to learning as much as possible and gaining a deeper understanding of how large-scale construction projects come together from start to finish. Jackson chose Thompson Thrift because of the positive experiences and testimonials he heard from others, as well as the opportunity to learn within a strong company culture. At Indiana State, he is involved in the Construction Club. Outside of work, he enjoys working out, spending time outdoors, traveling, golfing, and being with friends and family. One fun fact about Jackson is that he graduated from high school early and started college a semester early.
