Vice President of IT

Job Description

Thompson Thrift is hiring a Full-Time Vice President of Information Technology (IT) in the corporate Indianapolis, IN office. The Vice President of IT will manage the general day-to-day operations of the organization's computer systems, networks, programs, infrastructure, help-desk support, databases, and other technologies. Strategist for all of the companies technology initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6+ years of experience with progressive leadership role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
  • Performs complex tasks typically following established processes.
  • Leads and directs the work of the IT team and has full authority for personnel decisions.
  • Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change.
  • Leadership skills. Judgement. Creativity. Organizational skills. Technical expertise. Debugging skills. Problem-solving skills. Design expertise.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the planning and maintenance of the organization's data technology operations, including computer hardware, software, and telecommunications.
  • Participates in the evaluation, development, and recommendation of solutions specific to the entire organization as well as specific solutions for individual departments.
  • Coordinates and schedules the transition from existing to new platforms and systems.
  • Monitors the needs of the organization vis-a-vis the newest technology.
  • Works with organizational leaders to develop technology plans, policies, and procedures in alignment with company goals and standards.
  • Leads and directs the IT team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The employee occasionally performs work on-site at construction work sites, office locations, and/or off-site venues. Performing this job will sometimes require the employee to walk work sites that do not have infrastructure, this includes walking on uneven surfaces, through mud, through ruts, etc. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

While performing duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office or remote setting. The noise in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate in an office setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally work at construction work sites where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and the risk of electrical shock. The noise in the construction work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is required to work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
