Senior Director of Capital Markets

Job Description

Thompson Thrift is seeking to hire a Full-Time Senior Director of Capital Markets in our Indianapolis office. The Senior Director of Capital Markets will be responsible for leading equity capital initiatives and activities to support Thompson Thrift’s multifamily, industrial, retail and mixed-use development. The Senior Director will work closely with the Vice President, Capital Markets to implement equity capital markets strategies, remaining focused on delivering the highest level of service to the organization’s private investment partners.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Executing equity capital strategies for Thompson Thrift development projects, including common equity, preferred equity, and 1031 capital.
  • Directing the creation of private partnership offering packages.
  • Coordination of entity structure legal documentation.
  • Planning, coordination, and oversight of partner capital calls
  • Managing various partner relationships and funding mechanisms.
  • Directing publication of market data reporting.
  • Review and approval of all published financial reporting and related investor communication.
  • Oversight of partner onboarding and required legal documentation.
  • Achieving excellence in all communications and relationships with Thompson Thrift Investment Partners.
  • Miscellaneous projects as required.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field of study.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar role, prior management experience preferred.
  • Previous Real Estate, Finance, and/or Investor Relations experience.
  • Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function in collaboration with department management.
  • Experience and expertise in the concepts and principles of financial investments and real estate transactions
  • Excellent Leadership skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Superior attention to detail.

Performing this job will sometimes require the employee to walk work sites that do not have infrastructure, this includes walking on uneven surfaces, through mud, through ruts, etc. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
