Job Description

Thompson Thrift is looking to hire a full-time Manager of Event Services for our Indianapolis office. The Manager of Event Services is responsible for the planning, management, and execution of all corporate sponsored events internally and externally. This position organizes special events that are designed to build brand awareness and promote the organization's products and services, and increases team member engagement through celebration. This position requires someone who is passionate about planning, has a high level of attention to detail, and can create a memorable experience for each guest. This role protects the TT Brand and creates quality and consistency in all events.  


  • Bachelor's degree.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • This role manages all events that utilize company funds and is not limited to:
    • Annual Meeting
    • Golf Outings (Victoria, Canyata, others)
    • Groundbreaking Events (in coordination with others)
    • Investor Relations Events (in coordination with Investor Relations team)
    • Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening Events (in coordination with others)
    • TTServe Events (in coordination with others)
    • Trade Shows / Career Fairs –TTD – Commercial, Residential, Corporate Ops and TTC
    • Team Member Events and Services –Ladies Luncheon, Skeet Shoot, Christmas Party, etc.
    • Oversight of Social Hub events and holiday celebrations (in coordination with Indy and TH curators)
    • Owner events as needed
  • Builds and manages company events calendar
  • Advises management in developing processes, policies, and procedures for corporate sponsored events
  • Manages special events that are meant to assist stakeholders to develop and maintain event budgets
  • Schedules and confirms event location and arrangements that include but not limited to: food, beverages, equipment, and other logistical requirements, giveaways, collateral support, guest accommodations, manages the guest list and invitations, etc. 
  • Negotiates contracts and secures any needed permits.  Schedules entertainment, speakers, or other guests. Works with team members on the effective promotion of events, identifying invitees, sending invites, and track responses.  Ensures operations run smoothly on the day of the event.  
  • Provides post-event recap with detailed information to use for future events
  • Builds and manages plans for each event with support and input from the event sponsor.
  • Creates the concept and budget, defines active elements and the in-house and external vendor support needs.

Performing this job will sometimes require the employee to walk work sites that do not have infrastructure, this includes walking on uneven surfaces, through mud, through ruts, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires the use of hands to finer, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear (bells, whistles, etc.), stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and the risk of electrical shock.
