Job Description

Thompson Thrift is seeking a Full-Time Development Associate to work out of the corporate office in Indianapolis, IN. In this entry-level role, the Development Associate will support the West Region in completing key tasks critical to the development of Class A, luxury multi-family residential projects in the West Region for Thompson Thrift Residential.


Responsibilities

  • Assist Development Manager in all development related tasks;
    • Consultant coordination
    • Management of project schedule
    • Code and fee reviews
    • Site planning
    • Site Development: Utilities, Permitting, Environmental, Geotechnical, TOPO
    • Help prepare for internal investment committee.
    • Assist in rezoning and permitting efforts
    • Coordinate with design and construction teams
    • Coordinate with banks and equity partners at deal closings
  • Maintain project OneNote summaries
  • Assist Land Acquisition team with project underwriting activities.
  • Travel to sites to meet local officials and consultants.


Education/ Experience

  • 4-Year Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, Construction, or other Project Management based Field of Study.
  • 1-3 years' experience in a similar role is preferred.

Performing this job requires the use of hands to finer, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear (bells, whistles, etc.), stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
