Capital Markets Analyst

Job Description

Thompson Thrift is seeking a Capital Markets Analyst to work out of the corporate office in Indianapolis, IN. This position will support the Capital Markets team in managing equity capital planning and coordination for Thompson Thrift Residential and Commercial developments and delivering best-in-class service, reporting and communication to our investment partners.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assembling development project data, performing analysis, and producing partner reporting.
  • Initiating partner communications through Investor Management Software (Yardi). 
  • Responsibility for complete and accurate CRM active partner content, data entry, and internal reporting through Yardi.
  • Processing of partner legal documentation and document management through DocuSign and Yardi.
  • Coordination and execution of investment capital calls.
  • Coordination of investment offering packages.
  • Data and administrative support for project equity fundraising.
  • Equity partner pre-closing due diligence and closing coordination.
  • Managing partner IRA/Custodian requirements.
  • Coordinating information and responses to Ad hoc partner requests.
  • Communicating with partners through email and various professional modes of communication.
  • Proofreading partner reporting, legal documentation, property financial statements, and various financial calculations.
  • Coordinate special projects, including research, reporting, and Excel analysis.
  • Maintain the confidence of the assigned team through honesty, timeliness, accuracy, and forethoughtfulness, strategic thinking, and exceptional tactic excellence.
  • Other tasks as assigned by management.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar support role.
  • Financial and/or Real Estate background preferred.
  • Financial Analysis experience preferred.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and displays curiosity of real estate development.
  • Thinks critically, takes ownership of responsibilities and highly detail oriented.
  • Committed to provide exceptional customer service to investment partners and team members.
  • Exceptional knowledge of computers and relevant software applications (MS Office 365).
  • Works well under pressure and maintains confidentiality.
  • Works well with others in a team building environment.

Performing this job requires the use of hands to finer, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear (bells, whistles, etc.), stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
