Capital Markets Analyst

Job Description

Thompson Thrift is seeking a Capital Markets Analyst to work out of the corporate office in Indianapolis, IN. This position will support the Capital Markets team in managing equity capital planning and coordination for Thompson Thrift Residential and Commercial developments and delivering best-in-class service, reporting and communication to our investment partners.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Capital Markets team in all yearly Limited Partnership operations including but not limited to:
    • Investment partner network management and commitment tracking
    • Scheduling and preparing material for informational meetings
    • Coordinating with TT’s marketing, legal, and development teams to prepare, review and publish offering material  
    • Limited Partnership data management and maintenance in Yardi Investment Manager
    • External communication (mass and individual) with investment partners
    • Investment Partner onboarding
    • Draft, review and publish Investment Partner subscription agreements
  • Manage investment partner relationships respectfully and professionally
    • Respond in a timely manner to ad-hoc investor requests for information
    • Prepare material for and assist in the coordination of investor meetings and events
  • Draft, publish, and maintain Capital Markets policies and procedures for various department processes
  • Perform daily operations within Yardi Investment Manager including but not limited to
    • Contact and Investor Record Management
    • Data auditing and system maintenance
    • Business operation modeling and coordinating with on-site Yardi Specialists
  • Various business development operations including, but not limited to:
    • Sharepoint file system usage and maintenance
    • Microsoft Teams Channel usage and maintenance
    • Microsoft OneNote usage and maintenance
  • Assist the Vice President of Capital Markets in day to day operations and special projects
  • Maintain the confidence of the assigned team through honesty, timeliness, accuracy, and forethoughtfulness, strategic thinking, and exceptional tactic excellence.
  • Proofreading partner reporting, legal documentation, property financial statements, and various financial calculations.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Required
    • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
    • Exceptional knowledge of computers and relevant software applications (MS Office 365).
    • Meticulous attention to detail.
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
    • Highly motivated and displays curiosity of real estate development.
    • Committed to provide exceptional customer service to investment partners and team members.
    • Thinks critically, takes ownership of responsibilities and highly detail oriented.
    • Works well under pressure and maintains confidentiality.
    • Works well with others in a team building environment.
  • Preferred
    • 3+ years of experience in a similar support role.
    • Financial and/or Real Estate background.
    • Financial Analysis experience.
    • Previous experience with Yardi Investment Manager or equivalent CRM.
