As president of Thompson Thrift Development, Paul oversees the development of the company’s asset portfolio and new market opportunities. He founded Thompson Thrift with partner John Thompson in 1986. Under their leadership, the business has grown into the nationally recognized full-service real estate development and construction company it is today.

During his tenure as its president, Paul has successfully guided Thompson Thrift Development through the competitive real estate marketplace while expanding the company’s portfolio to include multifamily, institutional, industrial and commercial developments across the United States. His innovation and drive have fueled the company’s emergence as one of the country’s top privately owned real estate companies as recognized by Inc. magazine.

In 2008, he cofounded Watermark Residential, a full-service upscale multifamily housing developer. Since then Watermark Residential has developed a regional and national profile. The company continues to grow and develop and is actively working projects in 11 states.

Paul is involved in his community and serves on the Indiana State Chamber of Commerce Board’s Executive Committee, the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce Board, the Indiana State University Scott College of Business Dean’s Executive Committee and is currently a member of the Terre Haute Tomorrow Steering Committee. He is past chair of the Terre Haute Economic Development Corporation, the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce Board and the Wabash Valley Red Cross. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Indiana State University.

John Thompson

President, Thompson Thrift Construction

As president of Thompson Thrift Construction, John is responsible for the overall direction of the company, including preconstruction, construction services, and field operations. He founded Thompson Thrift with partner Paul Thrift in 1986. Since that time, the two men have expanded the business into a highly regarded full-service real estate development and construction company.

Under John's leadership the company has been transformed into one of the country's premier general contractors, building up an extensive portfolio of multifamily, institutional, commercial, retail, restaurant and industrial projects. During his career, John has been responsible for the construction of more than 400 projects. His direction of the company has resulted in several industry awards for quality.

He is a member of the National Association of Homebuilders Leadership Board and the Indiana Association for Community Economic Development. His professional affiliations also include the American Concrete Association and the Associated Builders and Contractors Association. He is an active member of the community and has served as the board president of the Terre Haute Children's Museum and a board member of the Boy Scouts of America. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Indiana State University.

Ashlee Boyd

Managing Partner, Thompson Thrift Retail Group

Ashlee is responsible for the oversight and growth of the company’s retail division, including all site selection, acquisition, development and leasing activities. Ashlee has more than 19 years of experience in the leasing and development of retail real estate. He began his career with a leading “Chain Links” brokerage firm in Phoenix, AZ, where he represented numerous national credit retailers and shopping center owners throughout Arizona. From there, he went on to represent retailers in their national expansion efforts as a consultant and preferred developer, completing numerous deals in several markets throughout the country. Following that experience, Ashlee worked on the development side of the industry, where he has been successfully involved in the leasing and development of 100 ground-up retail projects in multiple markets throughout the country ranging in size from single tenant build-to-suits to large-scale power and lifestyle centers. Since joining Thompson Thrift, Ashlee has successfully lead the completion of retail projects totaling more than $350,000,000 in market value.

He earned a bachelor of science degree in real estate from Arizona State University. He joined Thompson Thrift in 2006. He is a Licensed Real Estate Broker and an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Managing Partner, Watermark Residential

As Senior VIce President of Watermark Residential, Josh oversees all facets of the company including site selection, entitlements, contract negotiations, strategic planning, financing and management.

Since joining Watermark in 2008, Josh has been integral in all aspects of the company's growth which has included 16 developments spread across eight states throughout the country totaling over $460,000,000 in value. Josh has specialized in developing multifamily communities with a minimum size of 200 units during his career. Josh began his multifamily development career in 2003 overseeing 29 developments with a value totaling over $720,000,000.

Chief Operating Officer, Thompson Thrift Construction

As chief operating officer, Henry is responsible for the daily operations and implementation of significant strategic initiatives. He focuses on the areas of risk management, safety, information technology and human resources. Henry has a strong history with the company and a clear vision of how to lead Thompson Thrift's construction operations. Henry has been with Thompson Thrift for over 20 years and has played an important role in helping grow Thompson Thrift into multifaceted development and construction companies. Most recently, Henry served as senior vice president and director of operations.

Henry graduated from Indiana University in 1988 with a B.A. degree. He also has earned several Occupational Safety and Health and Administration certificates and is an OSHA 500 Certified Outreach Trainer in construction safety and health. Henry serves on the boards of the Vigo County Youth Soccer Association and the Terre Haute Housing Authority Development Corporation. He previously was board chairman for Junior Achievement of the Wabash Valley.

Chief Financial Officer, Thompson Thrift Development

Cindy oversees Thompson Thrift’s financial operations and is responsible for all accounting, financial reporting, investment and treasury management matters for the company and its portfolio of properties. Specific duties include financing, loan compliance, budget development, management reporting, financial controls, and analysis. Cindy joined Thompson Thrift in 1998.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from Murray State University and an MBA from Indiana State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. Her professional affiliations include memberships in the Indiana CPA Society, CCIM Institute, and Construction Financial Managers Association. Cindy also serves as secretary of the board of the FSA Counseling Center and is a member and past president of the board of the Taxpayer’s Association of Vigo County.

Chief Financial Officer, Thompson Thrift Construction

With over 32 years of financial experience, Tim oversees the financial operations for Thompson Thrift Construction and is responsible for all accounting and financial reporting for the division. He is also responsible for evaluating, advising and implementing initiatives that align the tactical goals of the company with the overall strategic direction of Thompson Thrift Construction.

Prior to joining Thompson Thrift Construction, Tim served as the Director of Global Financial Planning and Analysis for Bemis Company Inc. in Terre Haute, overseeing the business and financial planning of a $5 billion business across three reporting segments, 10 divisions and 67 plants spanning 11 countries. He was also the Vice President of Finance/Director of Finance and Controller of Unison Engine Components (formerly GE Engine Services and UNC Tri-Manufacturing) in Terre Haute.

Tim is a graduate of Indiana University (BS in Accounting) and Butler University (MBA). He is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants, Indiana CPA Society and the Institute for Management Accountants. Tim serves on the Accounting Advisory Board for the ISU Scott College of Business and serves as a mentor for the IU Kelley School of Business.

Senior Vice President of Preconstruction Services

As director of project controls, Bill is focused on teaching Thompson Thrift Construction's policies and standard procedures to new and existing team members, including project executives, project managers and project engineers. Other facets of his position involve the preparation of operations manuals and enhancing communication among departments so that transitions between a project's different phases will be smooth.

Bill most recently served as a project executive for Thompson Thrift Construction. He joined Thompson Thrift in 2002 as a project manager. During his years in the construction industry, Bill has overseen projects in the industrial, educational, commercial and healthcare sectors. Prior to coming to Thompson Thrift, he served as vice president of construction for Hannig Construction. He is a LEED Green Associate.

Bill received a bachelor's degree from Purdue University. He has been involved in several civic associations including the Terre Haute YMCA, Wabash Valley Crime Stoppers, Wabash Valley Coin Club and the Carpenter's Apprenticeship Program.

Brian Timberman

Senior Vice President of Construction Services

As senior vice president of construction services, Brian Timberman leads Thompson Thrift's construction related operations. He is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures for field operations and project management.

Since joining Thompson Thrift in 1998, Brian has worked extensively in field management. After seven years in field operations, he was promoted to Superintendent in 2005 and has been serving as the Vice President of Field Operations since 2011. During his tenure at Thompson Thrift, Brian has demonstrated sound project management principles and an unyielding commitment to customer service resulting in higher performance standards for all team members.

General Counsel

As Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Thompson Thrift, Brian is responsible for management of the company’s Law Department and providing legal services for all aspects of a project’s development. In addition, he provides advice to the company on corporate and transaction structure, as well as serving to provide necessary corporate compliance measures for the company. Before joining Thompson Thrift, Brian was an attorney at the firm Krieg DeVault in Indianapolis, IN; General Counsel for Carmel, Indiana’s Lauth Property Group; and Associate General Counsel for Bridgestone Americas, Inc., where he managed the domestic and international legal function for its subsidiaries Firestone Building Products and Firestone Industrial Products.

Brian holds undergraduate degrees from Purdue University and a J.D. from Indiana University. He was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 1999, and has over seventeen years’ experience focused on the real estate and construction industries. He has and continues to serve on various civic local boards in Zionsville, IN.

Managing Partner, Mixed-use Division

Jose oversees Thompson Thrift’s new Mixed-use Division. In this role, Jose focuses his efforts on the growing demand for projects that combine retail, residential, office and hospitality uses. The Mixed-use Division is a natural evolution for Thompson Thrift, which has developed 2,000,000 SF of individual retail, office and light industrial projects, as well as 7,700 Class A apartment homes nationwide. This division combines the lessons learned and relationships developed since 1986 as the company became a leader in entitlements, development, construction and property management.

Since joining Thompson Thrift in 2009, Jose has held senior management roles within development operations for Thompson Thrift Retail Group, Watermark Residential. and Thompson Thrift Construction. Jose has spent much of his career assembling, land planning, entitling, designing and constructing residential and commercial projects, many under public-private partnership and he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University.
